CT Valley Snowman
Well most people not from the area have no idea where in the sam hell route 32 is..It's easier to use a major interstate as it generally does work out that way..just like north of Pike/south of pike or north or south of the Merritt. The weather follows the highways Well its pretty clear that the western side of the warnings will fall a bit short. Central and eastern areas will verify nicely so some of us are not being Debbies back this way, just realistic. The posters who were jumping yesterday out in eastern mass were really the debbies in this situation.

wxsniss
NWS: Boston Logan: 7.0" since midnight, 10.2" storm total, 89.7 for the season which is #3 all time..........and still snowing heavily! Astounding that the "since midnight" is really < 3 hours.
Damage In Tolland
I might have to switch favorite models. It's sort of like leaving a girlfriend who's tried and true, but getting older, for one that was 700 lbs,, but lost 550lbs and turned out hot
sankaty
Reporting from Lexington, MA, today. Snowing about as heavily as I've ever seen. Snow growth is remarkable. Reminds me of Feb 2006. Any reports from the Middletown area would be much appreciated. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
weathafella
Well in our sites is a quivering Leon knowing his winter will be bowled over soon...and then we can put the pedal down to 96.

Baroclinic Zone
On the box map im under 14-18 here in scituate. I probably have 6-7". I think you have a better shot at 14-18 verifying. You got over double what i did from the first wave as well. Amazing storm. WE GOT IT BABY!!!
HullMA
I guess this is no longer your fathers gfs. This one has performed in 2 major events outperforming the euro. This was quite the equation for models to break down. Not really surprised there was such a disagreement between models. To me it spoke to the intensity this storm would bring to specific locations. ORH_wxman
It did, which is why I got a few jokes from staying with 8-12 from friends. I got nervous, but thought it would be ok. I actually felt better that Will agreed. The 09z-15z QPF outputs never made much sense to me as most guidance was slapping saturated ML layer over E SNE with a rapdily deepening H7 low over the islands and developing some good inflow...it didn't make sense when they were spitting out 0.10-0.20 from that stuff. Those few runs of the GFS made the most sense when they were closer to 0.50" for that period.

JMPhysicsTeacher
Radar seems to be collapsing the heaviest east--not sure if we get redevelopment out through 495 corridor. Will measure when I go get donuts for the fam but eyeballing it Dracut is at a foot.
Baroclinic Zone
Glad I never "cweated" this one. We've already "clinched" the BOX's updated totals. Good times. Visibility still several hundred feet. Didn't experience any thunder though. oh snap!

No model had this storm perfectly depicted, but GFS clearly outperformed Euro and RGEM for this 2nd half.
