ORH_wxman
Congrats Messenger AWT. What a clown. And he thought his spot wasn't very good for this...they might get 12-15" down in PYM.
moneypitmike
Getting a better look at the conditions here as it brightens a bit. Seems like the intensity and flakes are similar to what they were late afternoon. Interestingly, the radar doesn't seem to be catching it too well either (like yesterday). Who knows--maybe the progged 2-4 for today's not just a pipe dream. Temp coming down. 13.3/11 off a high of 14.7 (and a midnight low of 10.0). OceanStWx
No wonder, lightning network caught about 13-15 flashes there near PYM.

CoastalWx
And he thought his spot wasn't very good for this...they might get 12-15" down in PYM. That band was modeled fairly well and the GFS has -LIs. Good stuff. Injection of high theta-e as mid levels crank.
weathafella
Congrats Messenger AWT. What a clown. Which model performed the best? First of the globals then of the short term mesos?

ORH_wxman
The secondary "band" (more like a blob in middlesex county) is starting to go nuts a bit...up into Essex county too...this should crush BOS with time as it slowlsy sinks SSE. CoastalWx
Which model performed the best? First of the globals then of the short term mesos? The mesos did well and actually the GFS nailed the QPF down there.
Damage In Tolland
I just didn't understand why that was happening yesterday. It was pretty evident there was going to be a big round 2..especially for Eastern areas.

ORH_wxman
BOS 0.27" QPF in the bucket the past 2 hours...that's with the ASOS too, probably underestimating a bit in the heavy snow
weathafella
The mesos did well and actually the GFS nailed the QPF down there. Well nam seemed to be awful. A gfs win I think of the globals. As said earlier GGEM shat the bed and euro had the right idea but wasn't strong enough.
OceanStWx
He's had four, unreal. Surprised that's it really. I can count at least 25 flashes in the PYM area over the last 30 minutes.
