GrandmasterB
Yes, heaviest rates of the day right now. Easy 1" an hour stuff. Could actually make a run at low end warning numbers. I'll guess we have 3 or 4 already.
I-83 BLIZZARD
Boom, meso: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md0089.htmlNo kidding! It is just pouring snow here. I was not expecting a KU type event, but it looks like one right now.

AlexP
SPC issued an advisory for moderate-heavy snow up to 1" per hour covering SEPA, including York and Lancaster Counties.

You are sitting in quite a great spot right now, radar keeps reloading just to your south and west too. I have been stuck with good rates but very poor snow growth here right now for the past half hour plus here.
MAG5035
Here's the link to the WGAL live radar, just hit play and the radar scans live. Gives the LSV (and Voyager) a better look at things in that area. Can def see the heavy snow around I-83 Blizzard's neck of the woods better. http://www.wgal.com/weather/live-radar
MAG5035
Also should note an area of heavier snow blossoming from about Sunbury south to just NW of Harrisburg metro that might eventually have implications on seeing better rates for Voyager and maybe PSUHazelton. Voyager
Thanks Mag. I'll have to check in out on the pc. Chrome on my phone won't play it. I just checked it out, and along with looking at the other radars I use, barring some sort of miracle, I just don't see much more than another possible inch here. I just can't get good returns over me, which is eveident by the pixie dust I've gotten all day when it has snowed. it just looks like that back edge is moving in to fast. I just have to resolve myself to the fact that I (among others) got royally shafted by this event and move on. Hopefully winter ends soon.
CarlislePaWx
Just measured 2.2" -- in 9 hours! In the very last radar frame the two separate precip blobs are merging from north to south and when they meet suddenly 20-25 dbz's. Looks like that may happen close to me in the next 10 minutes. 23.2 / 20.9 here.

MAG5035
LWX dual pol has suddenly looked pretty mixy just south of the border between Frederick and Baltimore and potentially even some pings creeping into PA just southeast of Gettysburg. MAG5035
Still all snow here Yea it seems to be remaining to the SE of Gettysburg. I-83Blizzard could possibly see a bit of mixing soon. Winds aloft are screaming, the 850 level on LWX base velocities (roughly just north of Baltimore in northern MD) are 60-70kts from the SW.
