pawatch
So far this is my snow total. I have been watching the models for a week and I am kind of shocked this is todays total so far. It's kind of funny in a way...On the good side adding to my season total. Glad to see the southern tier getting hit.
AlexP
Radar is filling in to our south and west, so maybe we can squeeze out enough to not make this a total bust around Harrisburg.
Voyager
Well, it actually picked up in intensity here. We now have light snow falling. If I were motivated enough to go out and measure this debacle, I might have a half inch of new snow.

NortheastPAWx
Nothing happening and we're probably in the snowhole for the next several hours. Time to take this POS out back and shoot it.

Blizzard of 93
Steady light to moderate snow in Marysville has picked up in intensity. Nice band of precip moving back into Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry county. Hopefully it holds together this time and enhances when the precip to our west moves through tonight. NortheastPAWx
Best snow of the day so far now, but that doesn't really say much. Steady -SN
Voyager
The snowhole looks to be expanding again to our southwest in the MD/WV panhandle area. I wonder where that's headed...lol
Blizzard of 93
With their 5 pm climate summary update, CTP had recorded 2.6 inches today. Only 3 more inches to go to hit my personal goal of 5.6 for the storm. Only need 1.6 inches more to beat the best storm at MDT this year I think on 1/23 they recorded 4.1. I wonder where that's headed...lol Seems like the radar in that area is offline so it's hard to really tell much else. But it wouldn't be surprising if we do get it

MillvilleWx
Someone has to be at or over 12" in Maryland?Close but not yet. 10"+ in spots and still snowing. I-83 BLIZZARD
Hard to measure with the wind earlier. We were at 6.75 average 20 minutes ago but we have steady moderate snow with heavy bursts. More heavy bands to rotate in soon again. I think 10 is a lock, 12 a possibility.

I-83 BLIZZARD
Shut up and take it to the MA forum. Lol! I know. This area is no mans land. Pa cold, MA moisture. People in the MA hate us because we cash in on their marginal temp events. My Pa brothers who are fringed have the cold but miss the precip. This year though has been a snow desert here so one nice event isn't too annoying.

Highest I heard was 18" in Blue Ridge towards VA/WV border Yea amounts like that were what I was mentioning about yesterday when I said there could be some surprises amount wise with the system having a bit of a convective element to it when it was developing. Of course I thought that region was going to safely be in PA somewhere but it ended up in Northern MD/Northern VA. The more this winter wears on the more it reminds me of last winter. Difficult storms, cold air exercising it's muscle, storm track going more south as we're getting late in the season. Hopefully our March doesn't end up with a cold shutout like last year. Voyager
Hopefully our March doesn't end up with a cold shutout like last year. Hopefully our March sees an early pattern change and we have one similar to the one we had in 2012. I am so sick of this winter. Looking at the radar, any attempt for better snow to get here keeps getting thwarted, and beyond that never ending dryslot/snowhole, it appears the back edge is racing eastward out of Ohio and into Pennsylvania. Time is running out, and unless somehow the radar fills in and we can get to the 6 inches that was originally forecasted for here, any additional snow just adds insult to injury. I am beyond tired of 1-2 inch pixie dust snow "storms".

Measured about 1.9" for a snow total thus far. I do think 4" or so is still attainable around here.
I-83 BLIZZARD
Thanks MAG! This is an exciting surprise large event for snow weenies down here. After a spell of 1-3 inch events a real storm is that much more rewarding. The bands just keep filtering in and it is piling up. Nice high ratio snow.
