Altoona has seen 2.5" of snow since late last night. Just a few light flurries flying right now. Wind seems to be picking up a little bit

Impressive. Looks like you just had a decent burst just move through. Having the best snow yet here now and closing in on an inch.

Squall line is getting more defined by the minute - filling in nicely now with some 27dBZ stuff.

3" of really fluffy snow up here in Bellwood. Gonna be clearing during this little bit of a lull to measure what the frontal passage has to offer. Guess we better enjoy the fresh powder before it all blows away later haha.

absolutely. Do you think we'll see much more in our neck of the woods ?

Just switched to KPBZ and there are some nice east-west bands setting up around Bethel Park. Anyone underneath those could get thumped. Not seeing any lightning on RadarScope, but forget whether that's only cloud-to-ground.

Its getting close to a white out here in Bethel Park. Had 3 inches from earlier snow, hoping to get couple more from these bands

The squall line itself might throw down at least a quick inch assuming it stays as impressive as it looks currently (or even organizes further) There's also another patch of snow currently that's moved overhead and any residual snows behind the front. The frontal passage will definitely be the main show though this afternoon, and travel is going to be rough when and after it comes through.

Think you'll see something with the squall line about 8 pm. Unfortunately, looks like the heaviest stuff senses your snow fence and dodges it.

I know the squall line is the main show, but I wonder if, unlike other areas that have/are seeing pre fropa snow, it will be the only show here. And will it break up or weaken prior to arrival like so many in the past have done?
