Clinch Leatherwood
You'll ride the RGEM until it finds a setup that it fails in. This could very well be that meteorological setup it falls face first into the snow. Not really riding the rgem just not mounting the gfs. No other model supports the gfs closing a low over Long Island later for a bit.
Max
Who cares what models say, all I know is that James is about 2 seconds away from getting in his Choppah and dumping a bunch of lithium into the clouds to seed them so he assures himself of 2'+ from this puppy. Quincy
RGEM has been rather consistent in the inverted through signal staying south, INVOF Long Island. Edit: 12z is a bit further south even.

Clinch Leatherwood
But we spent millions updating it... Ah well Rgem and nam are toaster bath worthy. Gaps of hours in between snow shields. Neither very impressive. Rgem only has 1 12 hour period with even 8mm anywhere near us. This isn't the storm that's being promoted all over the tube. This storm is a joke. Max
Until I see a baroclinic leaf start forming so far east it matches the RGEM completely, I won't believe its benign output.

40/70 Benchmark
Yeah this is comical. GFS is going to have to pull a EURO circa 1/27 if it's to fail.
SnowGoose69
The GFS made a huge cave towards the NAm/RGEM down near NYC, it now has the dual low structure with the second low center near MTP...it has the inverted trof in a similar spot though it generates no precip with it...I see up in SNE its still going ape****

Spoons56
Shouldn't it be easier to figure out which model has this nailed over the next 6-9 hours as we compare current actual setup to model projections?
Hoth
Really liking those pressure falls. Interesting to see the atmospheric response on water vapor as well. Will be fun to watch this develop as the day progresses.
Zeus
You guys, the GFS can still flip to the Euro at 18z. We've got plenty of time for failure!
Clinch Leatherwood
GFS might actually be coming in better for some. Lol Eh it's slowly shifting though and finally saw the inverted trough this run which it then uses to carve a hole to the moon. Hey I hope it's right but until the euro supports it or some other model it's trash
