RUNNAWAYICEBERG
That is one ugly run for the CT River Valley in Mass/VT Yea but at least there is a chance while the rgem says hold your excitement:
Ginx snewx
It's not cloudy down there yet? I would have thought you clouded up overnight. sn-- talk about ineffective sunshine. I remember when 1 blizzard warning every 5 years was insane, how about 7 in 4 years

moneypitmike
This is the rare type of system that you can measure by how much snow gets blown off from your picnic table rather than how much you gain.
CT Rain
GFS and RPM have some decent agreement with that impressive inverted trough look for later tonight for CT/LI/SE NY. Both have that relatively strong surface low near Montauk and strong low level forcing along the trough northwest of there. Odd combination of models to have in your corner. dan11295
Both of those models also utterly pounded the Portland area. Hopefully we see some better agreement at 12z, Otherwise this will become a pure nowcast situation.

Also really persistent with that meso-low up in coastal Maine. Fascinating features showing up with this thing. Love the soundings for later today. Good stuff. 512high
Good morning all, not sure if this is the best place to ask this, when i watch the mets on tv, what "models" do they they all go with, to get their projected amounts? example, i'm in Nashua, NH i hear 6-10" for us, some say we fall 12-18", just wondering ...I understand it cant be etched in stone, but just wondering...ty

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
yes I don't know why I didn't just go on the website. Lazy. I see it now. Good map. Hopefully the INV trough can maybe push some totals closer to the higher end of the range here in W CT. I think it's not out of reach for even some isolated 8" amounts.
