Semper911
I know I keep asking this, but someone must know the answer. Why the clear mode on BOX radar? On wx tap it's shades of purple and orange. I much prefer the greens of precip mode. Is it a sensor thing or does someone have to flip a switch? Semper911
It picks up lighter echoes better. Thanks. I was guessing that, but even during some of the great snows we've had this year, it stays in clear mode. Ha, I certainly have nothing to complain about this winter. I'll stop whining about the color of the radar screen! Thanks for answering.

ORH_wxman
Nice weenie band from S RI to just north of PYM...AWT. Rest of us were just too far north given the somewhat strung out vortmax. But congrats to those getting a nice moderate to heavy snow burst in that.

jamesnichols89
Will, the NAM and GFS like the Thursday event even more now, both are near .25-.50" of QPF with ratios near 3-6, 4-8" amounts for the eastern MA shoreline.

Go Kart Mozart
According to my measurements, today's event brings Trumbull to 39.5" for the season. I figure 40" is typical here. It's been a battle for us...but we have a nice snowpack nonetheless.
