weatherbo
Also to note, this is the first time in modern satellite history(1979) that Superior will have froze over completely 2 years consecutively.
Ottawa Blizzard
Mean temperature for the month at YYZ is 11.1F (-11.6C) right now, making it the coldest February on record so far. About 10 days left so hopefully we can break that record. Old record is 12.5F (-10.8C) set back in Feb. 1979. On the other hand, the coldest month ever recorded at YYZ is Jan. 1994 which had a mean temperature of 9.6F (-12.4C). Records go back to 1937. Ottawa's airport could also potentially see its coldest February on record as well. Of course, February 1934 is the king and I don't think it will be surpassed. Chicago WX
Normal high temperature for Louisville for tomorrow is 49˚. P&C forecasted high temp for SDF is 4˚. Wow. Their record low max for Feb 19th is 18˚ set in 1936. Also, it would the latest sub-10˚ max temp on record for Louisville...by one day: 9˚ on Feb 18, 1936. cyclone77
Temps are languishing here. -1, but only fell a few degrees since sunset. Impressive cold for mid Feb, but pretty meh compared to what we've seen earlier this winter (here) and of course last season.

Already 4 at Louisville so I don't know about that. Over the years I've noticed that it's kinda difficult to keep temps from overachieving when you get a lot of sun at this time of year. beavis1729
Dropped to -9 IMBY. ORD hit -8, with a min wind chill of -28. Not bad for Feb 19! This broke the old record of -7 set in 1936. The most impressive low temp I've seen is -10 in Paducah KY. I think their normal low is around 32. Old record was 1 in 1978.

Stebo
Currently 5, after a high of 7 and a low of -5 so far. I don't think we will get higher than the 7 as temps have started to fall. I wouldn't be shocked if we are colder than -5 by midnight if we can get the clouds to clear out a bit by then.
Stebo
If nothing else changes we should average 26 degrees below normal for today. Average is 35/21 for 28 daily average, right now 7/-5 will be our high and low with an average of 1. At this point if nothing changes we will be colder than last February and colder than 1978/1979.
