Jeez...maybe I underestimated?  Some 4" reports from HoCo.  BWI slacking as usual with 1.2".  That ought to come up.

I'm not sure what just happened here tonight.  I turned over snow measurements to Matt and Randy and I haven't gotten a report yet.

Hard with all the drifting.  My guess was 8", and just saw Oakland got 9" so that seems about right. We'll see what the Canaan guy says tomorrow..But snow is pretty damn deep in places where it wasn't last night and this morning....

Noooo! Don't go over to "NWS employee's" side!

Seriously, though, whoever that is seems to always reports at the top of any total from the Columbia area.

Some ppl on twitter are actually giving cwg a hard time for not talking about the snow.

Some people are dumb. We didn't capture the heaviest band quite right but everything else was well advertised.

In retrospect I'm sure some will say they saw the potential in advance but the sfc low tracked just right to have that longer enhancement just north... That's a hard feature to hone in on in advance.

I understand offices are obligated to put out wind chill warnings, but if you're dressed properly, cold and wind really isn't a big deal.  I was just out walking around with Randy and it is 1 degree with gusty winds with some snow falling and some blowing snow, and it is fine out.  Warm socks, hoodie, winter jacket, hat gloves.  This stuff isn't that hard.  People get cold because they don't dress properly.

Ready.gov tweeted out how to stay warm if you must go outside when it's below freezing today. Nanny state plus hypercrazed media = always freak out over everything that used to be normal.
