Hi res nam did seem to get the idea of multiple bands right. HRRR was more single band focused.

When has the HRRR beat the model consensus when there's been a disagreement this season?

The amounts may be too high, but the RGEM looks to be doing a great job nailing the heaviest totals. And with 1" amounts already reported in Howard County ahead of the intensifying line, I don't think it's too far fetched to see many locations north of DC hit 0.1" liquid.

Went out for what I though would be a short xc ski just as the front was approaching (I'm staying near timberline in canaan valley, wv). I planned to do a 3.5 mile loop around this little lake, started off awesome but then got in some total whiteouts when the trail went out in fields. Had to retreat to the road where I found all sorts of stuck cars and traffic, fun!

Really coming down hard now. The HRR nailed that little hot spot over center AA county. Temp down to 32 from 41 a hour ago.

Still sitting in the car. Neighbor still looking out lol.

how much do you have....I'm close to an inch

it's on the wet side and with little wind, everything is covered...trees, etc.

shame it will all be blown to hell shortly, but I'll take what I can get

Thanks be to God that Yoda is here to not only cut and paste the zone forecast, but to bold parts we should definitely read. If not for the bold, I would have never ascertained the importance of those words. Hell, I may not have even read it.

I wouldn't read those things. With the CAPS, they're practically illegible.
