Any lows of 5 degrees or under at Central Park from 2/15-2/28 isn't something that we have seen since 1987 and 1979. doncat Posted February 16, 2015 Share Posted February 16, 2015 Very similar to Feb 1979 for cold...the very cold weather that month ended with a snowstorm on the 19th with 13.6" falling here...after the 21st the very cold weather ended and was followed by seasonable temps the rest of the month. That's the coldest temperature in Poughkeepsie since January 2011, and the coldest in February since at least 2001 (it's the coldest February temp on record since 1979, but there's a data blackout between 1993 and 2000).
