Ginx snewx
H5 closed off over PHL at 57 hours...QPF queens won't like that frame since it has a sucker hole over SNE at the time...but I really like the way the midlevels are trending.4km is much more realistic
Solar
What needs to happen to get those totals showing up in Maine to be here in new England? The NAM has to verify and you have to acknowledge that Maine is part of New England. Easy enough, right?
40/70 Benchmark
Now sure what ratios this website is based off of, but.... 60+ inches. If I get 8" from this event as that map suggests, I'll perform nude karoke at the next conference.

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
What needs to happen to get those totals showing up in Maine to be here in new England? That won't happen barring a miracle but we are certainly trying our hardest to get more snow.

Not going to happen, clipper from Canada isn't approaching from the right angle of trajectory. I recommend taking the Downeaster Amtrack for V-day weekend. WinterWolf
That NAM depiction is not happening. Nobody is getting sixty inches of snow from this lol. During Nemo in 2013, the NAM had a run where it gave parts of Central CT and N.E. Mass and Long Island 70 inches of accumulation. The NAM is nuts most times, you can't take that depiction seriously. This is going to be a Beast no doubt for somebody, but not 60 inches...!

NAM looks really good for SNE, especially east. Noticeable improvement from 18z, which wasn't even bad. If a well defined trowal develops it's going to dump for a few hours, and it won't be modeled at the grid scale of the globals.

moneypitmike
bullish That doesn't look half bad. I think 6-8" at this point out here--that 12" is not likely I don't think. The other areas seem pretty reasonable.

It sees the atmosphere as limitlessly convective at times, so it produces exceedingly unrealistic QPF Totals.
