ORH_wxman
I wonder if this will be Boston's equivalence to the NYC bust with the blizzard... I am a little bit skeptical that Boston will be forecasted to get 2-3 feet of snow.

eduggs
The NAM looks pretty reasonable to me. There will probably be banding with this. Ascending air for the winners, and descending air for the neighboring losers. It probably won't be a smooth precip shield outside of Maine. weathafella
Yeah comparing the NYC bust is silly. They ended up with 8 inches. Just because they were I'll advisedly forecasted 24-36 doesn't mean that would happen here.

bristolri_wx
Eric Fisher with a bullish first call and some words of wisdom for the public That doesn't seem bullish to me based on current guidance. All the models point to coastal Maine as the winner in this one, regardless of busts high or low in SNE...

CoastalWx
Most likely will have to extend those inland based if the wind expectations are legit. Yeah it's your more stereotypical place for them obviously. As far as inland, it depends on expected sustained wind and snow fall. If it goes further SW, perhaps. snowman19
No.Some of the nyc area hype is ridiculous. Outside of the total outlier ggem, there is pretty good consensus for a 1-2 inch snowfall here, which all the local area mets are touting. I don't get why some are trying to hype this into a major nyc area snowstorm, it's clearly not
CTWeatherFreak
It's way south...that would be really good if it was right. Exactly! Seems consensus is about the last thing we have at the moment, when we consider how relatively well the RGEM has done with the last few:
