The Iceman
12z suite had a general 1-3, 2-4 inch storm region wide for Thursday with the arctic front/developing coastal. Think it looks like enough of a threat to have it's own thread. 18z NAM came in further east but still had 1-3 region wide. Can we finally get an event that's over 3 inches and all snow? Potential is low but there will at least be some snow and temps won't be an issue. discuss!

Lady Di
Starting to really lose hope just look at this evening. Can't get the radar to fill in and enjoy, yet thank all of you for still posting in a season where the pattern just isn't great for snow in SE PA. No blocking. Everything west to east. Coastals way east and clippers to our north. I wouldn't be surprised if the upcoming artic front is less of an impact than currently modeled. JCT777
quiet you! this thread is good vibes ONLY! I think it's going to be more like an east trend...for coastal development. Regarding the clipper itself, might squeeze out an inch or so of snow.
snowwors2
I am a firm believer that what we need is some type of hyper-speed continental drift to catch up with these elusive storms

I'd take an inch.
The Iceman
00z suite so far way more progressive. Trend is not our friend. Coastal robs the precip from the front and then misses us and slams Boston. Story of winter 14-15, good for them though, a dream pattern for sure. The Iceman
What happened to good vibes only in this thread? Just toss the NAM out ;-) Toss the 00z suite out, and if 12z doesn't give me snow, toss it out as well! This baby is coming west but seriously 12z NAM gives me my inch of snow, that's all I want, is that too much to ask?

KamuSnow
Radar lighting up Yes it is, and there's snow under those returns too apparently (based on reports from JerseySnowRob and MA forum). 32F here, RH 81% so shouldn't be much virga effect. anthonyweather
Nice band guys, Quick shot of mod/heavy snow, quick half inch I'd say, all roads covered, didn't take long for traffic to work the salt in, everything wet now . Still got golf ball sized flakes falling / 29F Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JCT777
Have had a nice snow shower for past 15 minutes in Spring Mount, PA. With marginal temps, it hasn't been sticking anywhere except on top of existing snow and to a lesser degree on my elevated back deck (which has a .1" coating). JCT777
If only temps were a couple degrees colder, there'd probably be half an inch of new snow on all surfaces with the way it's been coming down since 9:30 AM in Spring Mount.

Yes, there's some pretty heavy snow in that band. Up to a whole 0.2" of snow on my back deck (it's falling faster than it can melt).
KamuSnow
The band to the west of here seems to be weakening a bit....nonetheless have had a few flakes in the last 10 minutes. Up to 36F here.

Always does when entering mid Bucks/Mont county...then I kinda get screwed living in the lower portion. Seems T-storms do the opposite many times... jtripper
Big flakes now coming down pretty steady. Normally I wouldn't enjoy this that much but with this winter, I'll take anything.

Birds~69
Mod flurries/light snow but at 35.7F after a 1-2hr 60%+ sun which cranked temps. Really need this sort of stuff to fall after dusk/overnight.
jtripper
Back to flurries and slowly coming to an end. Oh well. And yes, Birds~69, I usually do get the same stuff you get in Horsham. Lived 26 years in Horsham (and HH Grad).
