Ginx snewx
Has the GFS cut that precip forecast in a 1/3 or something from the craziness it was putting out before? hasn't .3 .4 already fallen?

RIcoastalWX
20.4/16 - LIght Freezing Rain/Light sleet. Coating of sleet/snow since 6pm I can't recall ever seeing freezing rain at 20 degrees along along the immediate coast like we're experiencing tonight
Mr. Windcredible!
Still more sleet than snow here. But break in precip moving in. Gotta love the spread in models here on the southern edge...NAM says I'll be lucky to see an inch...GFS still insists 6" a possibility. Seems like RGEM is right in the middle and most likely to win this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HIPPYVALLEY
Just keeps stacking up, notice now the piles are smoothing it out, snowflakes are better, I will be happy with another 3-6 for sure, what a great stretch Yup, don't care who gets what for totals, Jan-Feb has been pretty good winter stretch across all of NE with E SNE being ground zero. Clinch Leatherwood
Scott wins this round on the RGEM. this general idea looks great to me, where I'd expect the max to be. 48 hour total snow.

Snowedin
I love how Harvey gave our small town a mention during his 10pm weather break in. The ocean enhanced snow is a thing of beauty down in our area, given the right variables in place. I'd estimate we've picked up 7.5" since last night and temps continuing to fall. It's such a relief that we don't have to worry about any sort of mixing even close to the shore.

I'm surprised by the extent of the cold drain (Plymouth down to 22 and dropping with no signs of it abating). Will have to watch how it plays out as it could still shift the banding some - HRRR cannot really get a grasp of the cold and is still missing how far onto the Cape/Islands it's pushed. It adjusts a little each run but still not enough.
Cold Miser
Picked up a massive 1.25" of heavy sand in the past 6 hours. Horrible snow growth. At this rate I should be at about 4" by tomorrow night. plus the 2" from last night giving me about 6" total. Schools are already closed for tomorrow. ugghh. HIPPYVALLEY
Scott wins this round on the RGEM. this general idea looks great to me, where I'd expect the max to be. 48 hour total snow. Based on current obs from the front window and radar etc I'd almost shove those colors another 20mi E. Unfortunately there will be a lot of people disappointed in what is actually a pretty good storm.
Clinch Leatherwood
What are the color ranges again? Figure 8-12 roughly in that zone. HRRR meanwhile continues to diddle around with the moisture. I'm going to be really curious to see what happens if the CF is stopped dead. Hull is still only 19 degrees. It's already running colder than even the 0z models.
