WeatherWilly
Hard to believe much of the country will be in a blowtorch for this month looks like, while we are stuck in an arctic pattern. Denver and Kansas City won't have many days below 50 degrees rest of the month.

powderfreak
Man what a great winter. Snows from mid-November hopefully through April. On pace for wire to wire at this point with only a grinch thaw.

dan11295
BOX latest disco thinks 0z GFS was overamped wrt the coastal. Other that that most guidance is for 1-1.4" QPF generally from MA-CT border north into C. NH-VT. 6z GFS did seem a bit farther N with the better stuff on Sunday, keeping it north of Route 2, though 6z RGEM seems to keep it a bit further south. HoarfrostHubb
That RGEM was only through Sunday? Holy crap. I'm going to be way off with my call
moneypitmike
This is really the type of event that the higher accumulation levels will require diligent measurements and 6-hour clearings. This will be mostly light-moderate intensity through the over-running, heavier on Monday. But, there will be lots of opportunity for things to compact. The duration event is a pain for those inclined to want to 'stay on top' of their driveway clearing and DPW folks who have to work extended periods. That's a fun thing for DPW's like out here where there are three plows (two are real dump trucks with sanders and one's a pickup) and five drivers. OT--I like the highs of 0-5 for Friday. Brrrrrr. moneypitmike
Yup. Southern Greens are going to be deep. image.jpg The GFS has been berry, berry good to me in the run-up to this. I think it was among the better models (sadly) for the blizzard here IIRC.
jamesnichols89
Latest BOX disco thinks GFS and NAM are too amped, went with the UKMET/EURO solutions instead, colder solutions. 3-4" now forecasted for Cape Cod.

powderfreak
I think this will surprise if last night's boundary produced 5-12" in the Greens last night at the resorts. 3.5" at home was a nice surprise to wake up to. Just add em up over the next couple days.
