Snowing here still. Probably picked up a slushy and heavily frozen half inch or so.

Rare that one of these "flash freeze" scenarios actually pans out like it did today. The warm up was so short and rapid that when the boundary went through, everything froze solid within an hour or two. All the puddles are solid ice and covered with a snow/IP/ZR mix.

Luckily the roads don't look too bad...but the sidewalks, I'm gonna probably have to use some salt, which I hate doing.

Another fail thread on my part. I really should learn.

You and the GFS. Pretty wacky with some of those 1'+ scenarios only a day out. Then again it was a very finicky setup. Can't remember the last time I saw freezing drizzle with surface temps at -11C.

I'll cut the models some slack...lotta moving parts with this setup.
