NorthShoreWx
Oh by the way, just really off topic, anyone hear the latest weather forecast? Keep it to the forecasting thread please. So hard to read through banter with all of this forecasting nonsense cluttering it up.
NorthShoreWx
Been away for a couple of days and just looked at the 12z GFS. Holy carp, that is the coldest GFS run for this area I have ever seen end to end. Multiple days sub zero. It also has between 3" and 4" qpf for the run, most of it frozen. Epic February or updated model growing pains? The 10 meter temps seem cold relative to the 850's, but they are pretty cold too.

SnoSki14
18z gfs starting to show some overrunning near Presidents Day. If we were to get a major storm this winter that would be the way to do it. Huge cold airmass in place with a lot of energy coming from the south. I'm worried about the AO but supposedly PDII also had a +AO/NAO.
yhbrooklyn
PDII was also overrunning if I remember correctly.

SnoSki14
Next weekend looks brutally cold for the area with a possible storm on the GFS It looks extremely interesting notice how this current low eventually become a 50/50 low for the late week storm and then that storm also tries to become one for the following storm. Strongly worth monitoring especially as PNA will be rising sharply.

Strongly worth monitoring especially as PNA will be rising sharply. There is no question its worth monitoring Dr., Ryan Maue, one of the best around, said earlier tonight '' thurs., is 100 miles to the west away from being a blizzard for Boston''. extraploate that logic and we are 250 miles away from an MECS our selves, followed by brutal cold locking snow in AND then that storm beomes 50/50 for weekend threat. Lets wait and see what the king says shortly

Juliancolton
Does anyone have recommendations for Android phones? My Droid 3 just bit the dust, and while I really want another device with a physical QWERTY keyboard, I don't think those are made much anymore. I'd also prefer a removable battery, but again... is that even an option these days?

I have the note 4.perfect phone especially if you do a lot of weather stuff online and in social media.
