In less than 24 hours, the GFS/NAM have gone from 1-3 back to 6-10, and yet, it is still being held up by some as the go-to model. Nowcasting time anyway. Let's hope we all cash in. Then you get questions like if it will accumulate, the fact that it's March, and a bunch of other nonsense. More often than not one is declared just so the government can do what it needs to in order to get the job done. For example, the govt can purchase things without having to follow the painful procurement process that is typically in place. Only sometimes does a SOE include any travel bans.
