It's between Germany and Belgium.

They've had a lot of border changes over there since they shot that Archduke about 100 years ago...hard to keep up with.

One of the best drama series of all time.

The first 3 seasons...it was as good as it gets...even that third one after his mom passed away...then the 4th season on...still very good, but I think a cut below...and its understandable...I mean eventually, you run out of things to write.

I went to James gandolfinis funeral. David chase gave an amazing eulogy.

A great actor...terrible how in the middle of life just ends like that...I mean if it were someone elderly, you could understand...but it shows nothing is guaranteed in this life; including our next breath.

Agree completely. The last few seasons focused too much on his immediate family IMO and less on the mafia.

So the question remains....does he die? You go back and re-watch the last season and I'm pretty sure you get the answer. David Chase is a genius.

I don't think so...Meadow tries to park her car...some nefarious characters sit in the diner...but I don't think so.

All I can say is its going be a long time before I buy anything at Satriales again...

There was one scene & quote that sort of stands out in my mind above all the others; Junior, going senile, is sitting on his couch watching some show about the coyote...T sits down next to him; still disgruntled over his comments denigrating his failure to be a "varsity athlete" in high school...though realizing it was mostly dementia driven comments...he says to Junior..."If you to have remember stuff, why do you never remember the good things?  Why does it always have to be something bad?"  And Junior replies, "There's a lot I'd like to forget."  I very much feel that way myself sometimes; thinking back over all of it.

"Don't you love me?"

Who did T have?...to his wife & daughter...he was their meal ticket...the son was messed up....his friends sort of were closer to him than his family; but most of that was out of their own fear of him...Junior was all he had.

Fun fact about the Sopranos... They filmed a good deal of it in my hometown (West Caldwell) - especially at a former local restaurant, Italianissimo. I think it was one of the later seasons where Chris pulls a scam on some restaurants, coercing them to slip him customer credit card #'s because of debts owed... Italianissimo being one of them.

Interesting thing happened to Italianissimo a few years later: http://baristanet.com/2009/12/prosecutors-say-local-restaurants-defrauded-customers-of-1-million/
