It's the VIRGA MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol, radar showing sounding over me right now but nada

And we can stick a fork in another one for our area bro. This one is over, even for Rockland. Major push of very dry air south, relative humidities are Sahara desert like all the way down into Brooklyn and the bands have pushed as far north as they are going to go, are eroding and moving due east now, some light returns might show up, but it'll just be virga. Put this one in the history books, we ain't even seeing a coating

Hence why I've been conservative this whole time lol... I'd like to see Long Island get Into some decent snow, and I'm glad Jersey will get in on the action cause they usually shaft but those humidities are gonna be hard to beat.. 30% in Brklyn. Wow

The advection of extremely dry air south is just ridiculous. The northern edge of the banding is just getting eroded away

Did they offer slingshot service with turndown ammenities?

They offered; but I turned them down...they asked for a "gratuity"...I told them I wasn't even gonna leave a tip...

WOW!! I'm up to 42% up here, that's really strange, anyone with a little deeper knowledge care to interject on what's happening

I'm afraid not Orange...the people at work (the ones who speak to me, that is) all say I'm shallow...

I'm a man of odds and variance 95% models are right when they are all in consensus , probably more then 95%

but variance proves that even all of them can be wrong 5% of the time...How long has it been since models were in agreement but still busted good?

probably not this storm but there's going to be a storm in the future that's bound to give us the goods without us really even knowing , best part about tracking

To me, I'd rather not look at the models. Just surface analysis from the get go and see how everything evolves based off that...Remember your brain is the biggest supercomputer of them all, just have to train it to recognize patterns Unpredictableness is what made weather fun until models were thrown in and everyone got emotionally invested into whatever solution, then variance comes in and the event busts and its weenie suicide Lol

But if this is the last storm on the horizon for winter, then heres to severe wx season...Now that's alot more fun now winter storms these days

Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. - MLKJ

I always thought you were pretty sharp...the rapidity of your replies tells me that...interesting quote and one I'd never heard prior...

Eh... we've had computer models for something like 70 years now. I don't think you can blame NWP for the negligence of parents who allow their children to spend 14 hours a day online cross-posting model graphics and arguing about frozen water.

Alot of it is virga but it doesn't look quite bad imo

No matter how you cut it, it's gonna be 1-3" for the nyc area, more out on the island, and more South of there, absolutly nothing North of NYC, and 1-3 is being generous, I'm done posting in the main thread cause until tomorrow comes and they realize they're letting emotion fog their view it's not worth making enemies

Oh definitely not, I'm not blaming anybody - rather suggesting that model analysis should be left for those who actually have a high understanding of what their looking at. Forgive me for excluding an "IMO" Lol but I agree with you..

The rage that I went through back when I was 14 or 15 could of drove a kid to a psychiatrist, a whole lot of :axe:

I hear you. 1-3" should be everyones expectations. Calling for more is ludicrous.

That thread can make anyone finish a bottle of advil in 24 hours

I will say this Pamela and OrangeCountySnowZ, this was the funniest night I can remember in a long time. I haven't laughed this hard in ages. I'm screen shotting these threads and reading them over again when I have a bad day, guaranteed laughs hahaha
