Winter Banter Thread - Part 2

I thought I was completely insane growing up. Then I discovered Joe Bastardi in 2000-01, Bill Evans' board and then finally WWBB in 2003, which brought me to Eastern.

Then I helped bring this board into being with the team.

My sig still reflects those crazy days in 2010.

The glory days of Eastern..I found the bill evans board then found tri state weather then found Eastern Lol when Eastern ended I was a lost soul for about a week because I didn't know where everyone went Lol

Made especially for Long Island storm spotters

Better than the 50% augmentation that is de rigueur for Garden State residents...

I don't think I would trust the NAM even if it was trying to forecast something that already happened 3 hours before the model run...

After looking at the few runs of the GFS today, it shows quite an active pattern the next 10-15 days, with a couple systems moving through.  While we all anticipate a pattern breakdown/change coming eventually, sometimes those changes once they are in progress or transition, actually help give a shot at a last hurrah (or according to many of us here, a shot at one last fringe or outright bust).

Like the pitcher who has 17 wins at the All Star Break...they mention Denny McClain...and he never wins again...

Tiger fans clearly not well represented here...probably not many court watchers, either.

Just what I posted earlier and I completely agree. I think we definitely get our storm. Very active pattern and several shots at it. Though it might not be a storm followed by bitter cold, i'd bet that we get it over the next 1-2 weeks

I stopped reading it. It's turned into a twilight zone episode in there. I expect Rod Serling to come out any minute smoking a cigarette

yea,the nerve of some people

talking about the potential storm in the storm thread

they should be cool like you guys and just incessantly whine all night

yeah but colder temps lead to drier skin leading to more dandruff and MUCH BETTER ratios. Something to keep in mind.....Won't take much liquid or dry skin to get to our forecasted totals

Or better yet they could stop wishcasting... I challenge you to find 1 post of mine in that storm thread that wasn't cited with model guidance.. Then once you do that go find one post by someone calling for 4+" of snow and find me where they're citing their forcast from...

Lmao... Im gonna say it till I'm blue and stick with it... Long Island is the place to be for this event (if u wanna call it that)

There are outright delusions and hallucinations going on in there right now. It's actually scary, it's like the patients at Bellevue Hospital have taken over that thread

Yeah, there's a legit threat this coming weekend and another one on it's heels next week.  I'd be surprised if we don't get a significant snowfall in the next 2 weeks to kind of wrap up the winter, because I do think when we get our pattern change in March, that'll be all she wrote, whenever it comes (looks like perhaps beginning of 2nd week of March or so).

HUGE difference between whining and trying to convince weenies to stop posting crap all over the place with ZERO model guidance to back up they're claims..

Please stop making sense. You're ruining what could have never been. All in all, it's comical. Let's all laugh over it. We're stuck to computers and tablets and mobile devices waiting for what could be an inch or two of snow lol
