wkd
GFS followed the Nam in moving south. Especially nice to see the 850 low moving south. Great trend. Hopefully I'll get some daylight snow Monday.

GD0815
i'm thinking ZR could be a big problem for a lot of the area, i know we arent dealing with a ton of precip, but it doesn't take a lot, and the surface temps are going to be an issue maybe even into the city

TheManWithNoFace
Ray- Would assume that the NAM is showing the least snow would mean it is showing the most ice?
famartin
Ray- Would assume that the NAM is showing the least snow would mean it is showing the most ice? It has a fair amount, not quite 0.2" liquid equivalent. Not sure its "most".
Animal
I just don't see this being a big event for anyone in the mt holly zone. i am not even that interested in my backyard. Sort of looks like some sleet and maybe 2 or 3 inches of snow imby.

You realize that the ground is bare in half of NJ, right? edit: Didn't mean this to be so aggressive.

_AR_
Thinking ice/slop is going to be an issue in the Lehigh valley area. The fringe returns! Another Monday. Every f'ing Monday I needed to deal with a 2hr commute because of this mediocre garbage and people that can't drive in it. The last few weeks have been hell because of it. I seriously almost quit my job last week because I was so stressed out and this probably was a part of it.

Yes, I know that. lol I will watch the 0 z runs tonight, but the qpf just not seem to want to budge much from just north of me. this storm looks to be the tweezer storm. 30-40 miles north of me get 10-15 inches and I get slop with ice and a possibly a few inches. Keeping my faith we can get a huge event near the end of the month for all. Impressive season for the boston area.

Voyager
You know, I have to say that this is probably the most maddening storm of this winter season. Not because the heavy snow is once again north of the region, but because here we are, 12 hours or less from onset, and I really don't know if I'll see a coating, one inch, three inches or perhaps even five inches up here. Add to the fact the rarety of going from rain to freezing rain to sleet to snow instead of the other way around, and I'm ready to pull what little hair I have out. Just can't win this year. Models suck...can't predict a damn thing. Salt/brine everywhere...my car is practically white...idiots on the road...then I drag salt into the house. For what...crap/slop! Hard as hell to get a pure natural 2-4/3-6" ALL SNOW sticking to everything. We've had cold air but nothing works...high heat bill for absolutely nothing worth while. Not many years I wish for Spring but this may be the one. Only a 10"+ storm will save this year. There's my rant...
Mitchell Gaines
NAM looks colder, Philly even in question now for temps above 32 with this tomorrow. I would think given the warmer day today, upper 20's would be needed for ice accretion.

Mitchell Gaines
GFS at hour six is five degrees to cool at VAY. Not a good starting point for model credit.
Mitchell Gaines
on pavement, probably. maybe not on trees. I've seen many occurrences with temps 30-32 and no accumulation. True that elevated surfaces may still able to see the accretion.
penndotguy
yeah road surfaces i would think ok unless we go into mid 20's but any elevated surfaces, tree limbs power lines maybe a different story

FUCK JOE BIDEN
on pavement, probably. maybe not on trees. there is so much salt on the roads around here it would take a lot to start accumulating (even if it was snow)

JTA66
38.3F with the sun visible through the clouds. Since this has always looked to be a non-event imby, I'll consider anything frozen that falls tomorrow as a bonus.

Kevin Reilly
Same here in Media 46 53% humidity I expect nothing of consequence here in terms of wintry weather bring on the end of the week cold blast maybe that sets something up otherwise PHL is cruising for 5" or less of total snowfall this year.
