LongBeachSurfFreak
After double checking you may be right. It looks like the band is weakening before it hits the city I was wrong. Steady moderate snow. Shooting for an inch now. Very similar to that early January band

And I'm talking about the pack on highways and main roads.
IsentropicLift
I don't live in the city. And I'm talking about the pack on highways and main roads. Is Queens not part of NYC? The models did a great job of picking up on the fact that the best snow would be into CT and Westchester.

Dan76
In the same vein, the termouter boroughs (or outer boros) refers to all the boroughs excluding Manhattan, even though the geographic center of the city is along the Brooklyn and Queens border. Queens from Whitestone to Little Neck and then mid and northern Bronx are much, much, much different then any part of Brooklyn or other parts of Queens. They are more similar to NW Nassau like Great Neck and Manhasset.

Believe it or not I have spent a lot of time in Queens and now on LI with my sister moving out there. Some sections along the water are very suburban in nature, however that can not be said about the entire borough.

Some sections along the water are very suburban in nature, however that can not be said about the entire borough. We aren't discussing the rest of the borough, although Forest Hills, Hollis Hills, Fresh Meadows and a couple other parts are also very suburban and NJ like, thus why the Bayside to Little Neck area averages at least 2"-3" more then LGA or KNYC, IMO.
