Isotherm
Snowpack starting to get that dirty look so a refresher would be nice. Agreed that some spots especially away from the sun are fully covered and those in direct sunlight are less. We've had a few above freezing days like today for example that have affected those sun facing spots more. I'm sure the sun angle is beginning to play a greater role in melting and certainly will in the next 2 weeks. Yeah, watch out for that late February sun angle. I've heard horror stories about people with horrendous burns. In February 2007, I had 2-3" of sleet with an ice storm on the 14th, and that stayed on the ground until March 1st. If you have cold air, the sun isn't really a major problem until early March.

NorthShoreWx
Current snow depth is 14" There is about 3.5" of softer snow on top until you hit the old hard ice. There are still some relatively softer layers below that old crust. At the bottom remains the old icy frozen glop from January 24.

Isotherm
They are doing very well. B-ydm-SUsAAGbnL.png-large.png Should be able to make it through at least Wednesday, so that'd be 37 days for Central Park. Very impressive. Their deepest pack is occurring in the last week of February, also probably a unique occurrence. 11" depth yesterday.
