Tullioz Posted February 16, 2015 Share Posted February 16, 2015 It was a cold day for sure here just north of Eden. After a morning low of 11 it only warmed up to 27.4. Currently it is 17.6 with a dew point of -9. As excited as I am for the potential for significant snow/ice tomorrow and tomorrow night, I am even more excited about the Arctic air that will follow late Wednesday. I've only been in this area 10 years, but I can't remember the last time schools were closed for 3 consecutive days for winter weather. I'm sure the expected temps have something to do with the decisions; at the same time there was little to no thawing today on the side roads, especially those in the shade all day.
