AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION...UPDATED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA
1043 PM EST SAT FEB 14 2015

.UPDATE...
COLD FRONT PUSHING THROUGH THE CWA TONIGHT WITH SOME LOW AND MID
LEVEL CLOUDS ASSOCIATED WITH IT. ALSO...OBSERVATIONS SHOWING
INCREASED WIND SPEEDS ACROSS NORTHERN GEORGIA. WHILE THERE ARE
ISOLATED SITES WITH VALUES AROUND 20 MPH...OVERALL THIS MAY BE
SHORT IN DURATION. EXPECT THE STRONGER WINDS /20MPH SUSTAINED WITH
GUSTS TO 35-40MPH/ TO MAINLY BE ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA FOR A
LONGER DURATION SO HAVE ISSUED A WINDY ADVISORY FOR THAT AREA
THROUGH 7AM. CANNOT RULE OUT IT MAY STILL NEED TO BE EXPANDED IF
THE WINDS SPEEDS REMAIN HIGHER ACROSS THE REST OF NORTH GEORGIA.

IN ADDITION...GIVEN THE TEMP AND WIND FORECAST...HAVE EXPANDED THE WIND
CHILL ADVISORY SOUTHWARD SLIGHTLY TO INCLUDE THREE MORE COUNTIES
IN NORTH GEORGIA.

COLDER TEMPERATURES HAVE NOT BEEN AS QUICK TO ARRIVE AS THE HOURLY
TEMPERATURE FORECAST WAS SHOWING SO HAVE SLOWED DOWN THE COOLING A
LITTLE BIT. HOWEVER...CAN SEE THE COLDER VALUES ACROSS TN WITH
SOME STATIONS THERE REPORTING TEMPS IN THE 20S.

BIG bust on temps here today at GSP. Forecast was for upper 40s to 50 for a high - made it up to 60! Still 44 at 11:00pm - NO way we get down to the forecasted 18 tonight. :axe::facepalm:

Man, I really need to move North.

Same here, it stayed rather cool until around 4pm, then shot up to 60.  Temps already busted for tomorrow, I've recorded a high of 51F for Sunday here at midnight.  Temps here are not really falling either, still sitting at 50F.

We have strong winds, but its not bad outside.  Remember just several days ago we had models showing low teens, we may hit 30 tonight if the cold air ever gets in here.
