bluewave
It's a developing heavy band that will really put down very good amounts from NYC and east and especially for LI. It's still to my west but my flakes are getting very big right now. My visibility still about a mile but will update.

It is a 1"-2" an hour heavy band that is engulfing NYC and still strengthening. HRRR nailed this.

Sn0waddict
Big flakes, sticking to everything. Another big time band setting up in NYC as well. Really glad I took work off today, the evening commute could be as bad as the morning commute!

Rtd208
The heavy bands are a little to far east for me so far, waiting to see if something develops further southwest. Edit: Looks like some heavier snow is now developing over my area.

danstorm
Was just out in CPK for a walk (work can wait!)... it's probably 3/8 vis right now so still technically moderate, but it's piling up fast.
bluewave
It is a 1"-2" an hour heavy band that is engulfing NYC and still strengthening. HRRR nailed this. The heaviest part is in a really narrow band as it's still larger flakes and a coating here in Western Nassau with about 3/4 mile visibility. NorthShoreWx
After over an hour with no precipitation, light sleet resumed at 1:15 and quickly mixed with snow. Currently moderate snow and 24 degrees here with still a few IP mixed in. We've had just shy of half an inch since round 2 began. The snow had no trouble sticking immediately on the icy paved surfaces, including the streets, which are quite treacherous.
jm1220
Wow, Nassau County about to get rocked. What a mess of a storm there-I admit, I went too warm on temps when winds never went ESE and pivoted back N quickly with the coastal taking over.
