Sock Puppet
All the heavy precip is moving off the Jersey coast with only light stuff moving up. Nothing falling currently
NorthShoreWx
Bill I'm surprised you've only seen that much ice. This picture was taken at 8am and we have probably doubled what is on the branches at this point. Pretty significant icing over here. Could have been something as simple as you had a heavier shower that missed me by a hair. BTW, I am Ed

IsentropicLift
Lift is better from NYC and east, once the coastal takes over. The differences are marginal. There is a moderate band headed right for NNJ as we speak, I had 8.0" this morning at home before any mixing. Up in Orange County where they stayed mostly snow most areas are over 10". The coast will not be the jackpot today.

Are you up the hill towards the Sunken Meadow by any chance? That's around 250 feet. I am at 122 feet. Not much difference, but when I had heavy rain running off at 32 degrees, a few tenths lower could have made some difference. A few tenths of a degree lower for any reason, could have made a little difference.
IsentropicLift
I would ignore the latest HRRR, it has the convection over the Delmarva about 100 miles too far East.

IsentropicLift
radar's a bit chopped up presently-maybe it fills in later? Not doing much here, some occasional IP 23/21 Look at the KDIX radar. Upton's radar isn't doing a great job of picking up the activity over most of NJ because the radar beam is too far away.
IsentropicLift
None of the radar sites do a great job over most of Northern NJ, especially once you get out towards MMU. Too far away from both Upton and Mt. Holly. Always amazed me how that could be the case over one of the most populated areas in the entire country. Better lift, VVs and coastal enhacement. Could be a surprise heavy band somewhere on the island also.
wolfie09
Picked up about 2.5" before the changeover..The best thing about this storm is it didn't kill my snowpack..Sitting at 31° with light freezing drizzle..
Sock Puppet
Looking there and doesn't look very impressive as the heavier echoes keep moving more eastward over the Atlantic. The latest RAP has a very quick burst over NW Nassau County and that's about it. All other areas remain in light activity until ending by 21z. Yeah, I would think an inch for most maybe 2 tops in a few locales. Alot of the action is moving east of NJ per the DIX radar and backend almost never works out regardless of what models show

Big Jims Videos
Look SW of Philly towards Cumberland and Vineland Counties. Vineland is in cumberland county. I meant to say Cumberland and Salem Counties. We will see what happens, back to a moderate snow here and the flakes are smaller which is indicative of better mid-level temps.
