Going with 3 inches in my backyard

Well it looks like Mt Holly NWS is going big with this event for my area. :snowing:

WWA for 4-6 inches. AFD mentions possible warning snowfall amounts near  I 78 and north.

ACCUMULATIONS...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 4 TO 6 INCHES OF

SNOW. THE HIGHER TOTALS ARE EXPECTED MAINLY IN THE ELEVATED

  TERRAIN.

BUT THE STARTING TIME HAS BEEN ADJUSTED ONE HOUR

SOONER TO ACCOUNT FOR A SLIGHTLY FASTER 12Z GFS RUN. THERE COULD

VERY WELL BE SOME AREAS NEAR AND NORTH OF I-78 THAT RECEIVE A BIT

MORE SNOW (IN THE WARNING CRITERIA), BUT IMPACT-WISE THIS DOESN`T

APPEAR AT THIS POINT IN TIME TO BE A WARNING EVENT.

Sure....at some point, which by then we will jackpot with the heaviest rain! :)

Good, wash away all the salt.

Over/under on weenies screaming "HEAVY snow" today?

I think they owe us a beer

Took a little walk around my yard last night and the back is still 100% covered 3-6" thick and solid as could be.  The front has a bit less and a big bare spot over the septic tank but otherwise is still completely covered.  ENE aspect for the win.

Thats so funny, my only bare spot is the septic tank  My back yard is still about 15, as it is well shaded.

Wow, just looked at the Euro weeklies from yesterday. Big-time spring cancel through mid April.

Cold with no snow isn't welcome at this point IMO.. lets get some synoptic systems to throw some real moisture back over this cold air. There's a decent signal for an event next friday-saturday as a wave develops along a trailing cold front, hard to pin down anything at this point obviously. As modeled there's certainly no lack of upper-level energy.
