40/70 Benchmark
I figured 1-3 on the back end...versus just a typical dryslot like most SWFEs, but I didn't expect a GGEM-esque CCB trying to develop. It almost reminds me of 12/21/08 when you caught the CCB developing and up into Maine, except this is further south. That was a pretty classic SWFE-turned-coastal. That was the origin of naked twister
weatherwiz
No offense Wiz, but I'm glad you were wrong yeah that was a pretty big bust. Interested to go through the PNS later and see what the average range was across the state
metagraphica
After going to freezing drizzle from about 11am to 1pm it has now transitioned back to moderate snow. Big flakes!! Visibility down to about 1/2 mile now.
sankaty
Good mention. It really does look like gem backside. TauntonBlizzard2013
Dumping. Radar looks incredible. We could pull another 3-6 with that. Could be over a foot. Wow
metagraphica
Finally out of the dry slot with moderate snow and great snow growth. Radar look pretty promising. Think we could get another 2-4" down here? RAD_KOKX_N0R_ANI_1355.gif Looking at that radar and the pouring snow outside, I'd say another 4" inches is definitely possible. HIPPYVALLEY
close to 10" now w/ SN/SN+ Great storm. I do like the SWFE's out this way, more reliable than those fickle Miller B's in these parts.
metagraphica
I'm officially right on the mixing line...big flakes starting to mix back in with the sleet. RIcoastalWX
32.1/30 - Currently…. and the high for the day. Light Freezing Rain/Light Rain and now sleet has started to mix back in. The north side of the pines and the tops of the trees have been accumulating ice all day and are bending a bit. Temps have finally leveled and have even ticked back to 32.0 a couple of times.
