Zeus
...LOCALIZED BLIZZARD CONDITIONS OCCURRING FROM BOSTON TO AMESBURY... AS OF 1010 AM THIS MORNING...BLIZZARD OR NEAR-BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WERE OCCURRING ALONG THE MASSACHUSETTS NORTHERN AND CENTRAL COASTLINE. HEAVY SNOW WAS REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO ONE-QUARTER MILE OR LESS AND WINDS HAVE BEEN GUSTING TO 35 TO 40 MPH IN THESE AREAS. THIS INCLUDES BOSTON LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THESE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH 1230 PM NORTH OF BOSTON...BUT THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO SLEET IN THE BOSTON METRO AREA BY THAT TIME WHICH WOULD IMPROVE VISIBILITIES. MOTORISTS AND PEDESTRIANS ALONG THE MASSACHUSETTS NORTH COAST SHOULD BE ADVISED THAT FALLING SNOW ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. IF YOU MUST BE OUTDOORS...PLEASE USE EXTRA CAUTION. Thanks NWS.
