A+ storm. Probably about a foot out there now, but it is literally impossible to be sure at this point. Drifts are massive in spots. Up near my fence out back they're about 2' and higher. Meanwhile one spot around the big pine tree is only like 4-5" with some spikes of grass showing around the trunk.

STORM TOTAL AT MITCHELL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Ya, that's gotta be way off! We've had our heaviest snows of the day since noon. The last few hours have been snowing hard and I live about 4 miles due west of Mitchell International.

Being a Debbie downer here. I don't see the returns west of Detroit sliding over, but it looks like a slot of drier air is working up into the state. Are my eyes (hopefully) playing tricks on me?

It's just a radar thing.  Radar shows me in the blues now instead of the greens ... visibility here is about 1/2 mile.  No worries.  If visibilities were a mile or more then I would be concerned.

I had 15" at 6:15pm, going to measure shortly and that's only a few miles from me at best so not too far off
