Thunder Road
This band through central Porter is producing nicely! Visibility less than 1000 ft attm.

cyclone77
I know really! You're going to sail past 12", maybe up to 15". I would say 14" is a lock for you. Yeah I'm starting to think that as well. Already over a foot I'm guessing. RAP shows 0.20-0.25" precip beyond 2pm, which would probably be close to another 3" with these higher ratios. andyhb
Waukegan area should be getting crushed right now based on the radar.
Boogieman
Close to 12 hours of constant pixie dust at FNT, a good 3" down and some impressive drifts starting to build. Radar looks like we're about to pump it up any minute now. Amazing how many stupids on facebook are crying bust in this area and think it's all over or a 4" storm... They've got a surprise coming since we're just on the very edge of the heavier returns now. I'd say once that start kicking in good through the evening and overnight, we'll probably at least hit 10" by Monday morning.
mjwise
Ripping 18Z NAM paints another foot over detroit metro before it's done. I think a Top 5 finish is pretty dang likely at this point.
Geos
Waukegan area should be getting crushed right now based on the radar. Yeah about the heaviest snow I've seen all day so far.
weathergy
Christ, Detroit is looking to get the biggest storm here since 1974, Chicago is getting their biggest storm since GHD 2011 and TWC is covering a press conference in NYC over 4-8" lmao. stormtrackertf
18Z NAM paints another foot over detroit metro before it's done. If it continues snowing like it is right now in Detroit, which I would estimate as being well over an inch per hour, I believe it. This guy is trying to leave right now, I don't think that car is going to fare very well out there. Already having trouble.

michsnowfreak
Like a blizzard out there. 7.1" at 330pm...snowing 1-2"/hr now, and it appears to be at least 15-1 ratio, if not fluffier. Was outside for a walk and pics and it was just brutal!
Geos
Doesn't even look like I shoveled outside! From only 10 minutes ago. At Snow Freak - where in the world is that guy trying to go!? I think I've seen 5 or 6 cars today in total on my street.

Stebo
Probably some of the hardest snow I have seen in a while, easily 1/8th of a mile with nice dendrites falling. Going to pile up really fast now.

btcs31
Went for a stroll downtown. Beautiful. The city was doing well clearing the streets initially but are now struggling to keep up.
harrisale
Amazing water vapour image here with the Pacific-based tropical plume of moisture feeding this storm extending all the way back to the ITCZ. That is a thing of beauty. What a system.
andyhb
Mid level heights are tanking fast, already got a 534 dm upper low per latest mesoanalysis. Surface low should deepen below 1002 mb within the next hour looking at the size of the 1004 mb area (it's actually pretty much the same size as the 1006 mb area was supposed to be at this time). It is clearly intensifying faster than RAP guidance, should lead to stronger winds.

Geos
Wonderful pictures Justin! Snow on the pine trees around here, but too windy for any to stick on the deciduous trees. You can really see the synoptic snow and lake snow in this COD radar loop. Very cool http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=LOT-N0Q-1-24 I guess this storm will go down as the Super Bowl Sunday Blizzard!
