michsnowfreak
And final call on the 9Z SREF plume for DTW. Pretty consistent. Oh, and Howell's plume mean is 19". Wow...16.7" and that doesnt include anything that fell before 7am.
vortex
At 6 inches here now. Only 1.5 inches since 5 a.m. even though it's been snowing decent since then. Guessing warmer temps hurting accumulation here a little bit now.
Gilbertfly
Hard to tell but looks like there is some lake enhancement now seen on radar across Cook county, north of the loop and stretching out over the lake. yeah for sure....convergence ramping up in the area you outlined

SchaumburgStormer
Thanks everyone. Already took that line out of my sig. You can hear large limbs breaking in the distance every once in awhile. Set up gopro to capture anymore tree carnage. Dry slot is sort of making it's way up here, but there's a lot more snow west of here that has yet to pivot through. Should easily break the 10" mark. Looking like that dry slot may stay just south/along i-80 in N. Central IL. Gonna have a pseudo-pivot point set up there, and as Chicago Storm eluded to earlier, wouldn't surprise me to see them as the big winner later tonight. mjwise
Detroit TV and local news mets have been pretty loathe to mention any sort of widespread double digits for SEMI. A-L-E-K
850s still out of the SE so we are pulling a nice bit of that moisture back into the cold sector for some prolonged light to moderate snows with better ratios this afternoon/evening
