Optimism seems low here.People are b••Ching and moaning cause we are not getting a foot! It's almost a given, that most will see snow, sleet, or freezing rain, before a change to rain. I am growing more and more optimistic that we will see something. I'm just not sold on how much because I'm still cautious since we are still 96 hours away at the earliest (going by 12z gfs) before any precip starts and given the performance of the models this year it's very wise not to get too worked up yet. If 24 hours from now we are still looking at the same thing, I'll feel a lot better and confident ...or at least as much as one can be 3 days out. Has to be sometime in the 90's when I was younger. With all that freezing rain at the end, I may not have power for 3-5 days. Time to charge the batteries and get some fire wood.
