It's amazing what's going on in Boston, GFS just spit out 20-24" over the next 3 days. That would have them approaching 80" on the season with the bulk of that coming in the past 2 weeks. Just amazing...

My daughter lives about 30 minutes from the Manchester Airport and they're expecting another foot of snow for about the fourth time this winter and man we can't get a couple of inches, I know I'm in the southeast but here in the mountains we've almost always had a couple of 2-4 inch snowfalls and a big storm or two.  what an awful winter so far.  :axe:

Even the 50th %ile WPC forecast is pretty impressive...sigh.

I am NOT happy with my forecast from next Thursday to the following Monday. 5 days of temps in the mid 40s to low 50s. Please tell me there are signs beyond 10 days that things will warm up some.

Where did you forecast this? Just wondering, are you in met school or have a site? According to the GFS your forecast has no chance...lol better hope this cold is wrong...this is some hardcore deep cold.

12z GFS has another 18-24" for Boston day 5-6, LOL. I love it, great to see historic stuff unfold for them. Potential they are looking at 90-100" of snow in 3 week period.

It's never cold or warm enough for you? I hope the GFS cold is correct and y'all don't get out of the 20s for a few days and you won't have to drive to Ohio, you can just turn on your hose and make your own snow! GFS is epic cold!

It's moderated and out day 11 fantasy snow that was on the 00z and 06z is now a day 13/14 rain event

In all fairness, it is still quite cold for the 6-10 and is as cold or colder than any recent GFS run for the 11-13 except for the very cold 6Z. But yes, it doesn't have that 2/16-7 SN.

Yeah it still looks good from what I am looking at. Still cold enough for snow. We do have a couple of systems dive down from the north. It is a good trend in my opinion.

I knew you'd break eventually!

The good thing is nothing is showing up 10 days out because it would just be wrong. We need something to pop up for the first time on the models 5 or less days out to have a realistic shot. Hopefully, the brutal cold the GFS was showing will back off some and we might get a chance for some precip to come in then.

We'll see....

The Plains and south are next.. The winter there as been like a lousy game where no one scores, but it will go into overtime and crank

I hope it will be worth the wait. He said on his video today on Wxbell to look for a big storm coming from Texas and up the east coast between the 15th and 20th, and more to come after that foe the southeast. He said winter will last through March. Better late than never.
