jburns
I just saw a single snowflake. Now to decide if it was ripping, pouring. slamming, hammering or dumping, so I can make my report.

jburns
Really? Yes Brick. If you do it right, it takes a lot longer than 10 minutes. Apparently weather isn't the only thing you need to learn more about.

jburns
Well I'm in Greensboro now. I came up I85. at times visibility was less than 200 feet. So that qualifies as heavy snow. It was fun even if it's only for a few minutes.

sparklecity
Everyone enjoying their snow? It's not ripping, coming down, hammering, or slamming here Every little microscopic speck on radar breaks up as soon as it gets close which is fine with me....more time for the skies to heal. sparklecity
Gotta love going from a chance of snow friday night and saturday to rain likely sunday with a high of 55 Someone needs to beat that low into submission so it will stop darting northward. J.C.
I love it, folks east of the mountains get to experience a day of what its like west of the mountains behind an arctic front. You don't often see temperatures this uniform across the southeast behind strong cold fronts, much less snow showers east of the mountains. CaryWx
Is there really any decent shots for the Triangle over the next 10 days? Read the medium range thread, but having a hard time being a believer, We're getting past climo and from all the misses we've seen I almost have to believe we're done. pcbjr
Seems like it better get done by 3/5; things look to change a bit after that (well duh ... what do you expect - spring is around the corner); PNA looks like it goes way down and NAO and AO look to be pretty positive long term.... I'll be very happy to be proven wrong, btw
HKY_WX
Thanks HKY. Need to get inside 5 days i guess. The EURO trended much slower on the stj cutoff vs 12z yesterday, so that's why it's almost impossible to pin point threats outside of 6 or 7 days. But the below is generally a great looks for NC. PV sitting up in the great lakes w/ an incoming STJ wave. We just need that PV to shift east as the wave in the southwest comes out, so it doesn't get squashed. It's also dependent on the timing of the stj, if that wave cuts off and spins around in the baha region, everything else is thrown off.
Cold Rain
The troubling thing is, the Baja energy has had a propensity to hang tight in the SW forums of the winter. That said, the PV should swing east. There's no blocking to keep it locked in. I would also place odds on the PV being a bit farther north by game time.
