This is the beginning, middle and end. No more snow for us, oh wait, we haven't anything more than a trace of snow this winter. Next winter event is Feb 201?

I guess you are going to just ignore the multiple threats that are showing up for the next week. Does it have to be snow to be a winter storm? And you don't know we won't get snow. You don't sound like you would ever be happy with anything.

Sat 12z we were getting 4-5" of snow, today we are looking at 0.5" of sleet. Is that falling apart to you? It is to me.

On Sat we were looking at getting 4-6 inches of snow, as of right now we are pushing 3 inches of pure sleet.  So pretty amazing storm we are experiencing.  Definitely not falling apart.

You, complain? I won't believe it.

But yeah, temps were supposed to be an issue here. Earlier today I was supposed to get 1/10th FRZR before changing over to rain, and here I sit with pouring sleet at 28, with maybe a half inch on the ground and a nice glaze of ice in the trees. Sure, I'd rather have snow, but any sort of overperforming is awesomesauce. And seeing as how I just joined this site today, I'm going to go ahead and take credit. Kthxbai.

If it weren't for you joining today, this would have been a total bust. Well done!

I posted about the threats, that's something. I will be happy if the Op Euro verifies next week. It spit out 12-14" for RDU, that's the bar.

I can't believe it's 21 degrees here with freezing rain. That's just sick.

Anybody know why RAH doesn't put up Ice Storm Warnings for areas expecting 1/4 inch or more of ice accrual? I understand the WSW pretty much covers the same thing, so maybe it doesn't really matter. But from what I can read, a lot of their forecast area would certainly meet the criteria.

Ice storm warnings are only issued by Raleigh if freezing rain will be the only precip type. Any mixed precip events are covered by a winter storm Warning.
