87storms
I'm still pissed at Seattle. Stupid play calling. It was nice seeing those talkers lose. Also, given the miracle catch before that I think the outcome is fine.
87storms
If Bostons spring didn't start in May and their ocean temps in the summer were warmer I could see it being a great spot.

stormtracker
March will be warm enough so that it can't snow, but cold enough so it can be miserable.
mattie g
march madness is a good cutoff date for snow tracking. I have a bad feeling we'll be tracking non-existent warm spells through the beginning of April.
North Balti Zen
March will be warm enough so that it can't snow, but cold enough so it can be miserable. I am given to understand that butterfly farts in Idaho may be to blame.
Ian
hmmm. I thought I read that in one if the January threads. I think maybe WVclimo posted something along those lines for out there in recent history. Around here it's pretty close to the peak of the peak throughout all of history. paulythegun
I like August except you can feel winter looming by then. March is pretty crappy. March will be the month of endless Miller As with perfect tracks + a strong high positioned to the north... ...but all of the precip for these coastals will arrive in DC at 11am and end at 7pm. EastCoast NPZ
March and August are easily the worst months of the year Agreed. July is awful, but at least it has the 4th of July and it's dead-nuts summer, so it probably should be hot. August.... by then summer has gotten really old. dailylurker
March has always been my least favorite month. Cold, rainy, cloudy, windy. Oh wait, that was this winter.
Jebman
Nowadays things are so bad in the Mid Atlantic that everytime we have at least a little model discussion, I feel like I just got 29 inches of snow with 95 mph wind gusts In other words, this winter has sucked so badly that we usually do not have much to discuss. I want spring and severe tornadoes so bad I can taste it. We do heat and humidity well in Washington; we wont have to worry about a shortage of summer here. That's why I am really looking forward to severe weather seaon. During severe weather season we wont need a -AO or -NAO in order to have legitimate threats. We'll have plenty to discuss in the spring. WE ARE the spring weather capital of the country. We'll be enjoying derechos and tornadoes and severe thunderstorms while Boston is enduring 32 degrees with mist and gray clouds cryin a river. There will be so much model disco that we will have ten parters over severe weather. This is going to be a pretty big year for severe come spring!!
