snowfan
So many people have drones now. I'm surprised they're so readily available to the public.
needbiggerboat
Non-stop sledding behind the house today. Probably 200+ people. Younger kids early in the day, and now the early teens are here. Most since 2010 easily. that's a lot of people on your lawn. i would have spontaneously combusted.

How would an average consumer be able to utilize drone technology?
EastCoast NPZ
I think I've busted on every forecast IMBY this year. I should just make a snow minimum over central/northern MoCo and a bit north and west on all future maps. You had me in the 4-6 range I believe. I got 3". You owe me 1 inch of snow.. Well, I'm considering purchasing a drone and modify it for cloud-seeding over my house.

clueless
Watching the Westminsters Kennel Club show...waiting for the terrier group! I have a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. Always next to last in sporting. Commentators never know what to say because they know squat about the breed. Maybe we have placed once in the final. But my boy quite likes terriers! snowfan
What I wouldn't give to be in school with the current generation of kids. 3-6" snowfall closes school for two days and cold weather brings delays and closures. Fortunately, my kids daycare only follows the school system on the first closure day. I'm dreading having to deal with this when she reaches grade school. Jebman
STATE OF THE SNOWPACK We are currently enjoying a 6 inch deep snowpack under Arctic conditions with excellent ground frigidization. We are currently enjoying 100 percent areal coverage of snow. Sidewalks and many roads are snowpacked. Highs today will struggle to reach the upper 20s with snow squalls expected. Then we will get to enjoy a couple more days of Arctic weather, with refreshing northerly breezes and highs in the upper teens and lows between -5 and +5. Wind chills will be cold, down into the negative teens. Plows have piled up MASSIVE snowbanks in many shopping strips. Some of these snowbanks exceed ten feet. It's a winter wonderland out there. The weather forecast looks very good for the next 3-4 days. Get out and enjoy it! This is an excellent time to enjoy a long, leisurely jebwalk. dallen7908
With today's WWA, I now have as many warnings/advisories (9) as inches of snow this winter (9.6). I thought the rush hour standard was one inch of snow and/or a trace of ice. Perhaps a 1/4 inch of snow in 15 minutes counts; could certainly cause problems. My boy just wants to put his 80 pounds on your lap and then stare intently into your face. Goofy dog
