This storm was the sh&*. I enjoyed every minute of it. I was able to be outside the whole storm. I'm just glad I don't have to look at frozen mud for the blast. It can be as cold as it want now. As long as I have snow to look at.

HOLY CR^/!The wind is going nuts! Awesome!!!!! Jebwalk time.

Totally agree.  A great storm and one that I thought would deliver for the last couple of days.  By the way, I'm holding you to the crabbing invite.  And my Jebwalk is up the street to one of the many Reisterstown Rd dumpsters to dispose of the lobster shells we had for dinner tonight.  I love crabs, but lobster is soooo good!

Heck yeah bro. I was just thinking about the bay. Image what it would be like out on the bay right now. Ragging wind, huge waves, freezing spray.

Pretty wild to think it's that not that far away.

Loooove lobster. We spend a week at the beach in Maine every summer - it's so good up there.

Boordy? Nice.

My gf and I went to a Far Eastern Shore Wine tasting this afternoon. They are out of Easton. They import their grapes, but don't let that deter you. If you see it locally, give it a try. The Autumn and Dragonfly are particularly good. It's almost a light alcoholic fruit juice, but so good!

Thanks! I'll look for it. Went to Boordy last summer for a concert thing and have loved their wine ever since. The liquor store near Wegmans in Hunt Valley sells it, picked up two bottles yesterday.

Dale City has been fortunate - Since midnight 37 mph is the worst wind gust. i think the high winds are primarily for MD. Have fun, I'd hate for falling trees to cause power outages in VA. 60 mph winds are pretty rare for us anyway, they occur about every 10-15 years, we arent due til 2027.

We're in great shape in Dale City, it'll be a breezy night, worst will be 30-35 mph gusts, we can handle that, pretty pedestrian wind Since the bliz up in Mass is not as severe the winds are not as strong tonight and the storms in this upcoming week have an excellent chance to annihilate us but good.

We just *might* be stealin' someone's snow lol

I was going to rag on him for playing the banter card and then calling out ers a couple of minutes later, but I can't multiquote on mobile easily. ;)

Hey, you can...I at least framed it as a polite question and I was actually being sincere.    He could ultimately be right...these runs don't mean anything until showtime.

People b**ch when we don't do anything...and then when we do, we get called Nazi-guls  or that LOTR thingy PG brought up.  Yeah..that.  Nazguls.

Yesterday, I posted in here asking if anyone else is excited about the snow tonight. I would hope more posters than me who were able to experience an exciting event tonight are still smiling in the after-glow. It was and still is a completely unusual winter weather event for my location--- 2"+ of snow/50+ mph gusts/near zero visiblility/drifting snow over major roads hours later/plunging temps and wind gusts ramping up to over 50 mph.

Tonight has surpassed the last great Valentine's Day weather event I spent with my very patient SO--- 2/14/07 right after the sleet-storm.

Congrats to those who got an exciting event, but some of us were on the fringes. Barely a dusting, but the wind sure is howling!

I knew from the modeling that I was going to get a dusting. So - I was not surprised or upset when I got an eighth of an inch while Maryland got 3 inches then whiteout conditions all night long from 50 to 60 mph winds. I pay attention to the models and take particular note of features that keep me dusted as opposed to several inches of snow.

Enjoy the snow marylanders - take a long jebwalk in the blowing snow and 60 mph wind gusts! You guys beat me in snow AND windspeeds, but then again, I did not have to deal with power outages either.

Dig snow! Pile it up!
