weatherwonder Posted February 14, 2015 Share Posted February 14, 2015 What I usually do when we are tracking a storm is, I go to sleep for a few hours, and then I wake up and look on my phone or iPad to see what is going on. Amelia Segal said don't park your car under a tree with some kind of wind danger graphic. Sandy and derecho cleared a lot of the older trees but tomorrow will test them again. nw baltimore wx Posted February 14, 2015 Share Posted February 14, 2015 Total banter and not to be taken seriously, but just going by memory, thinking ahead to the possibilities for the next ten days reminds me of February 1979 when the area fell into an ice-box for a couple of weeks and couldn't buy a snow storm. And then, of course, we got hit by PDI. Who knows? Maybe Tuesday/Wednesday goes wide right but then we get our share next weekend. Although the threat for Tuesday may not work out, I won't be too upset... we've got other chances ahead. But a big difference between now and Feb 79 is no blocking this time. And I don't pay attention to the silly "after the thread/radio show jinx" talk. Yeah, because what we do will affect the storm!
