CT Valley Snowman
500:1. Lol. I know its not as simple as a temp to amount ratio im wondering how we look in the DGZ. Nice tight thermal gradient should have some good banding I would think.
dendrite
Yeah, They were north of 15z, Brought 1" qpf up to the MA/NH borderSome of them are a pingfest Pike-south. Not that that means anything coming from them.

J Paul Gordon
Looks like the 2m temperatures are going to be pretty cold on Monday. 850s and 925s pretty darn cold in the interior. Is there much reason to think this will change?

BostonWX
Pretty much. I'll be surprised if I taint here There's clearly no taint in New England, anywhere. The flow is so fast I don't see much room for amplification, and you would need a pretty sizeable shift north for taint. I think this is an easy forecast without much room for error pike south. (8-14). I would go 6 to the NH border too at least.
TauntonBlizzard2013
18Z NAM had you close to pingers on the tail end. It's close, I agree. However, its the NAM. I could eat crow, who knows
CoastalWx
The ratio fetish is ridiculous. It's not like someone is getting 20+. The ratios will help those with less QPF, thus a widespread snowfall.

I don't think we see much amplification either, What we could see is the energy ejecting out of the south a hair stronger and the confluence to the north a tad weaker then you could see a further north track at the surface

I noticed a few models have a Low diving out of W Canada into the W states as our Low approaches. How does the speed of that affect this storm? BostonWX
Heh...I think the S Coast has a chance to ping. We'll see. Yeah you could be right. It doesn't really have that look to me but there could be sneaky warm layers. Any future shifts south would diminish those chances.
