OceanStWx
He's still above avg snowfall, regardless, his post was patently absurd. It's basically like saying if you remove 75% of the snowfall this year, this season has sucked. They don't ask how pretty, just how many.
weathafella
Nothing absurd about it.................we are above average snowfall because of one storm. Before that, we were at historically low records for the amount of snowfall this winter. But you're showing a complete lack of understanding of our climo. Bg storms often make our climo snow. And you'll get several inches of snow tomorrow..lol couldn't buy that. 2 weeks ago anywhere!

WeatherWilly
But you're showing a complete lack of understanding of our climo. Bg storms often make our climo snow. And you'll get several inches of snow tomorrow..lol couldn't buy that. 2 weeks ago anywhere! Sorry but that doesn't make sense. Big storms mean future big snowfalls are guaranteed? One storm, no matter how big, does not always represent an overall pattern for a season. The blizzard does pretty much guarantee we will do ok for our total snowfall this winter, and for that I am thankful.

TheSnowman
EURO Caved. I'm not sleet and Rain there too. Don't Weenie me Ray. My 3.5" prediction is Well warranted, especially since the RGEM is currently the best is is warm. And these are the kinds of storms Everyone gets to complain. I don't want to hear attacks. This storm was Out to SEA 2 days ago!! When storms Start as too far north and go more north, then no one deserves to complain. When storms Start as too far north and don't move, then no one deserves to complain. When storms Start OTS and stay out to sea, no one deserves to complain. When storms Start OTS and go More out to sea, no one deserves to complain. But when storms are way OTS and go SO Far North that 2 days before it's Right over us, and then game time it's PAST US???? We ALL deserve to complain! It's not about Climo and crap. It's that this storm went from a goner to a rainer. And past All the possible goodness in between. Quincy
RGEM precip type maps (WeatherBELL) still spitting out over 1.0" falling as snow at BOS. Jackpot >1.5" across Worcester/Middlesex County. sankaty
I'm starting to get concerned about significant icing down here after a burst of several inches of snow. Hoping we stick with sleet, but the RGEM/Euro are now showing extended ZR if their precip type algorithms are to be believed.
