HoarfrostHubb
Liking where I sit. Ratios will help and I hope to avoid some/all taint. If things go well I could equal my blizzard total Th dry air aloft is my biggest worry. Will take time to saturate

I actually still like my area too.
HoarfrostHubb
It would take a miracle to pull 14" out of this. Not enough moisture, but a solid 8-10" is easy to see. A great 10 days

CT Valley Snowman
I just took a look at the 6z gfs and to me it looked like the 850's line creeped slightly north at the height of the storm in this area, perhaps about 10-15 miles south of my location. The Rgem actually brings the line almost right over me at the height so there is not complete agreement here.
CoastalWx
What do you like about CT? I think 8-10 is a decent number for you. For some reason, some of the models have a bit of a min there..maybe because of a little subsidence? Also, you still may ping which cuts down totals too. You and I may have similar amounts. Today will really help out in determining any trend.

CoastalWx
What modeling has a min in CT? Euro? GFS and RGEM. I don't know..could be nothing too. Lets see what 12z does. You are very cold regardless and mostly snow perhaps all snow.

moneypitmike
While there's agreement amongst many players now to have the taint probably reach across the Merritt (extend east after it ends), I'm not discounting the RGEM at this point. There could still be some nudging further north and a bit of deepening as it passes. Sensibly, that could have impact in areas a little further north. 6 from the south coast up to 12" as you head north to the VT/NH line and slowly drop off north of there looks like a pretty accurate expectation. 9.3/5, up from 8.

Winds died down Wow--what's 13* between friends. Not that there's going to be much of a real "jackpot" as amounts will be fairly uniform once you get above the taint area, but you're in a prime spot for this. You might get an inch or two more than other areas. lol
