As long as it's good quality and portion size then it's worth it and I don't mind paying top dollar. I'm going to Tio Pepe's this Saturday for my birthday. Haven't been there in a couple years but I'm sure it's still one of the best in Baltimore.

I had dinner there in Dec. It had been a while. Still old school, great food, always a fun experience. Enjoy your bday.

Obligatory storm banter: seems like it's going to snow a lot or something. Schools will close.

Happy Birthday. It will be really nice if you throw in some snow.

It is still great. Happy Birthday, many many more happy healthy ones. You will have fun.

My dad saw one forecaster on TV mention 6-12"

It's like NYC didn't just happen. It's a good looking setup and harder than usual to fail but running high early is tricky. Think in most cases you're better off saying it's likely to at least top lower numbers from this range. If nothing else then you don't have to chase a forecast if it starts to go badly.

You can hear all the unspoken "uh-ohs" in people's minds with the discussion of the 18Z GFS ensembles in the storm thread....

I've got a dilemma. I'm flying to Vegas from IAD (Dulles) Monday at 9AM. If the storm dumps a foot of snow at IAD during the overnight, I assume the flight will be cancelled. That's life, but I've got room reservations at Vdara and can cancel without a penalty by 7PM Friday (tomorrow).

I really feel this storm will develop. The met on CBS Evening News even showed a track that would give the MA a foot. Topper is hinting that the Bread-o-Meter will be in effect. And most important, Matt is setting up timelines,  Randy is getting the bus gassed up, and the CWG is 40% in favor of substantial snow.

Question: do you think there can be enough certainty in the forecast by 7PM tomorrow for me to decide to cancel the hotel reservations, and re-book if the storm fizzles (I doubt I can get anything close to the same rate).
