Professional Lurker
Promised snow? You mean someone can promise me snow? Dang... I've been missing out too!I know, right? Funny thing is, I felt about as dejected as he does. ... but I'm over it. The one takeaway that we all need to have going forward is this: We need to demand to the moderators that any poster who whines that western areas ALWAYS get into into good deformation snows be immediate 5-posted for the rest of winter. mahk_webstah
Super jealous. Congrats though guys. I was battling a melt down yesterday and had to pull myself away. We're onto Friday now. As close as I've ever seen you....and we've had a few frustrations (and some big wins) in the last few years. What was your total btw? I noticed Concord was 12.8 and Laconia was 12. That me feel better about my 15-16. I saw a report from Boscawen of 8.3 inches at 5:30pm. I thought that was ludicrous because we spend 2:15-5pm walking our land in Boscawen during a period of heavy snow. There were 5-6 inches between about 2 and just after 5. Can't imagine Boscawen had only 2-3 inches before 2pm. I leave Friday for a month in Savannah. Arggghhhh

Clinch Leatherwood
Just finished cleaning up. Awesomeness. The storms bring out the nice side of people it seems. Hopefully some good karma helping the older neighbors next door. I could use it. It's funny in the neighborhoods. We're all close but the people that normally stay outside the group...everyone is helping one another and offering assistance. schools off here at least through Thursday. codfishsnowman
Took a ride to get something for my dog at a store deep into east Longmeadow about four miles from the house and found an average of about a foot of new snow (easily 3-4 inches more than me). By the time I got to stop and shop in east Longmeadow closer to where I live they had roughly what I got which was around 9 inches. That two miles east made a big difference! codfishsnowman
promised was a poor choice of words...should've said forecasted as I let my emotions get in the way while I was getting carried away writing that post this morning. whatever, frankly im not really over it either but its not like there is anything I can do about it, just hope we get an enjoyable storm out this way. 20 consecutive hours of needle like grains of sand like snow isn't a "fun storm" nor was pre thanksgiving four to five inches of cement and Saturday's five inches that tapered to drizzle and became a sloppy mess was meh...beggars cannot be choosers however. last years back to back swfe in the double digit range and the couple fun little events those few weeks in February in between that helped to build a near 20 inch pack for at least a couple days...no there's some fun! Cold Miser
5 hours clearing driveway and walks between last night and today. Additional 1.5hour with the roof rake and clearing low sloping section of roof located facing the northeast (worst possible location). Drifts were about 4.5' on that roof. Finished clearing about 1/3rd of it, and it's only 20'x20'. Back at it again tomorrow.
