dan11295
ORH Airport had 31.0" at 3 pm, given that it appears that last bad has pivoted E of them it looks like they will fall just short. Getting heavy show again in this band.

Getting heavy show again in this band. I just measured 31.5 at my place. I do see that the band is just E of ORH now. So unless ORH comes under another band I don't see how it touches 3 feet, or even break the all-time record.
SouthCoastMA
Hard to measure..but I doubt we have more than 16 or 17" here. Solid, but relative to everyone else, ugh.
metagraphica
23" total so far. Still coming down nicely here in Salem, CT.
dendrite
About the same for me, Brian. Surprising how little wind, the white pines are covered and at 8F out you know any breeze would clean them right off.Plenty of wind here...gusts probably over 30mph.That cold, dry air is working in to the low levels. 10F and 84% RH right now...so the decent snow growth is starting to feel the effects. We'll see what happens as that band moves overhead.

ORH_wxman
I can't get out of this subsidence......killing my shot at the top 2. You will eventually...but not sure you will top '97. But that band is coming east.

CT Valley Snowman
Congrats gentlemen. Amazing scenes. Haven't had more than a few flurries here since 10 AM. So close to sonething big here. 9.5 in my town, 1 town east 13, 2 towns east 19.
bobbutts
Man...I don't know how you guys measure in this stuff all the time. I was out there for 20 mins and it drove me crazy trying to come up with a number. N side of house...7-8" S side of house...10-11" I assume it's somehwere in the middle around 8-9". That band moving toward LCI looks appetizing. Sounds like my yard, I'm going to say 8" because my deepest was 10"
JMPhysicsTeacher
is this beast backing in further? That's what I was thinking but I just zoomed out and watched as far back as I could. It looks like it was breaking apart but now there is a signal over western MA.
Hambone
I'm sitting in the middle of that band east of Worcester. Not the heaviest snow of the day, but it's coming down!
macriver
Eric Fisher on WBZ just used the term "weather weenies" on the air, LOL. He was referring to the fact that "weather weenies" had been lamenting the lack of snow this winter until today. He also said he is one of them (us), lol. MarkO
I can't get out of this subsidence......killing my shot at the top 2. I just got back in the better returns, hopefully it pinwheels back down into your fanny. 30.9"

Yup there it is That's the surprises I was alluding to when you see such a gigantic swath of moisture rotate into practically all of Maine (the 950-850 low that scooter mentioned) then hit the death band and rotate into and over the mountains..and then go West and sprinkle down to who knows where (wmass?) The radar also looks to be filling in boston harbor and off of PSM,NH as it backs west one final time
TalcottWx
That stuff near cape ann should get into BOS too hopefully as it sinks sw.
psuskiteam
No idea how to measure here (Merimack) but i would assume a good 15-18+" on the ground. Looks like Nashua area probably has an additional 5-10 over us (5 miles). If all goes well, this band sticks around for a few more hours to push us over 20. jamesnichols89
It looks like we are above our average seasonal snowfall in one storm since my life began, 25 years. I think we are nearing 30"
lakeeffectkid383
Actually up to 18" with the fluff that's been falling here the past several hours. About 14.5" OTG. Not a bad storm all in all but wish that band this morning could have been a bit further east but I shouldn't be complaining.

walthsnow
This snow band backing in from the west has some of the heaviest snow of the entire event. hope it makes it back to 128 and bos. MaineJayhawk
I haven't been keeping up with the forum today, so apologies if this has already been posted but I just wanted to point out the 36-48 zone on the NH/MA border. I've never seen that before ... wow! Great storm in Portland. I took a 4-mile snowshoe trek this morning. 1/8 mile vis, 39mph winds, wc below 0F ... good times!
